Short update

Been super busy, I'm in the process of moving to a new place.

Between that, 1.5x vpps and an increase in student interest, I haven't had a ton of free time.

I'll give a better update in the next week, and I promise pics of this place (I always promise pics then never come through, sorry).

Profit wise this month has sucked, everytime I start to break through on a heater variance seems to rear its ugly head.

Today started out OK, but then I lost 5 all ins without being dominated or against a PP and a 6th all in where I was dominated. I didn't win a single all in in that game, and at the low point in the 50-100 the guy had less than 200 chips after folding to a shove. That kind of stuff sucks, but I really really need to play so much more, I just haven't had the time it seems or been in the right state of mind when I have.

Stars Promotion For Husng Players

Hello Ryan,

I am pleased to be able to write to you with news regarding the HU S&G
portion of the 2X promotion.

For Weeks 3 & 4 of PokerStars 2X, we will be following your suggestion of
increasing the VPP awarded to 1.5x the normal amount. By doing this for 2
weeks, our HU S&G regulars will still get 2X the normal VPP they would
have earned for 2 weeks of non-bonus play.

Short Update

First off, I had a positive email exchange with somebody from Stars management.

I'm told that Stars will do something for us husng players during JULY. What it is has not been determined yet (as of a day or two ago), but several options have been discussed and are possible (check the thread I made on 2p2 for those options).

I've resumed play on stars. I had decided not to play until Stars resolved or promised that they would resolve this to me/us. I didn't really try to get anybody to boycott Stars, they area great site and I've had little to no beef with them in the past, and I was truly upset that they decided not to include us in this promotion. There had been talk of 2x vpp week for a month or two and I was really looking forward to it.

I will be sure to post any further updates if/when I receive word from them.

I've played a few 6 man STTs the last few days, mainly lower levels, 27-39s or what have you. I've ran pretty ugly but there is a small chance I could end up supplementing my hu play with these in the future. Likely not if they aren't soft enough at the 78-100ish levels, but that remains to be seen.

I've also done about a half dozen 200 regular speeds, I think I split them yesterday. I'll probably make that my regular game throughout July, playing some 110 turbos when I'm not feeling patient enough or disciplined enough and some 220 turbos if I'm playing well and we get a good husng promotion.

On the beer front, we just kegged a 9.5% double IPA. It's not fully carbonated, it should take up to 2 weeks to fully mature, but it's tasting delicious already. We also have a 10% or so imperial stout in the 2nd fermenter. We may have to repitch some yeast to get the final gravity down to an acceptable level, it's kind of on the high side now and may be a little too sweet. It could finish well over 12% abv. We put giant oranges in the boil and lactose as well. We'll also add some coffee before kegging, so it's going to be dubbed our "Dessert Stout." Quite a hefty dessert if I may say so myself.
