Beat a fellow Chicago player in my first 220. Felt I had a few good reads on him in our short match, here's the hand:

Second match was a lot longer. I may have called down a bit too much but I felt I really knew when I was ahead and the rivers really priced me into calling against my assumed range. A few rivers really sucked. Since I don't post hands a lot I'll show some of the good and bad ones.

The second to last one was tough, the last one was semi-close against his pushing range but a standard call.

Anyways, I'm breakeven in the 220s so far, going to take a little break and try to find another fish. Obviously I'm going to need to run fairly well no matter if I'm on my A game or not. Even at the 33s in which I consider myself a very good player, I lost a few in a row more than once. That was ridiculously bad variance but the fish at the 110-220s are probably a little better than my sitting with anybody at the 33s. Not by much though, some people would be very surprised, then again if you sharkscope somebody and see they've lost 5k+ aka 25-50+ buyins at 110s/220s I guess it's not a shocker to think they belong in a lower level game.

Bankroll $3,599.63

Degen BR $612.63

Now that I look at it, I could afford to play another 110. I'm kind of in the "in between" level of whether to play a 220 or play a 110. Personally, I feel I've played pretty close to my best in all of the 110s and 220s I've played so far. I definitely feel a little more of a "race" in the body I guess in the 220s, and I am extremely comfortable in the 110s.

So maybe I'll play another 110, this is kind of a decision I've put off, what to do in the "in between" buyins where You're very near 3 buyins. We shall see.

Love the blog!! You're obvoiously a winner (and I suck) but could you please explain that 350 call with K9. Doesn't that second Jack also put you at risk to KQ-T? Also possible sets or a straight in the weeds? You put him on air right? Checking the turn was the real problem, correct? Dare we put this on 2+2? Once again, you rock/I suck (but I'm curious.) Hey, at least you know people are reading! Thanks for the blog.

A busted flush draw and a pair of 9s is a very big part of his range here IMO because of the turn check. And checking the river makes his bluff % go pretty high, in retrospect a half pot blocking bet on the river would've been a lot better.

I don't like betting the turn every time against this type of opponent because he's likely drawing to very few outs (except F/D, rarely I see a straight or better king here IMO) and my hand is a great bluff catcher for the river. Jack and suit are about the only cards I'm remotely concerned about, but I still think this was a slightly profitable line to take in what is one of the strongest hands that show up in his range here.

This might be a good hand to put up on the forum, I'll review the whole HH and see what kind of reads I was basing this on, I'm on a laptop now so I don't have access to my HHs.
