A few matches tonight

Played some private 5.50 HU matches verses two of the bloggers linked on the right bar of this blog. Dboy/lolbillfrist and omgwtfnoway/wtfnoway.

I wasn't happy with my overall performance. I'll post the videos later when Joe is on, hopefully he can create a PXF HH video for me. I lost the first to Dboy. The plan was to play aggressively post flop against him and eventually get him in a little wider than he usually would get in. Unfortunately I lost a lot of chips early and by the time I got him in ahead I had 760 chips. Which is fine but his kicker paired. Overall just a regular match.

I played OMG twice then. I'm not sure how I felt about these matches. I won the first, he won the second. The second was a very long match. I'll have to watch all 3 videos to really analyze my play. I was a little too hesitant at times but I was also fairly aggressive overall I felt. Maybe the spots I picked just didn't line up right with the cards tonight, or maybe I just was making bad reads. Either way, I don't feel cards helped me very much in these 3 matches. I'm not sure if anyone played better than anyone else in all 3. I'm pretty sure I misplayed too many hands though, so maybe I was outplayed overall.

I'll be playing a lot more private matches in the next few days though. I have a few other players I'd like to play some more, plus I would like to play these two guys some more. We'll see how it goes in the next batch of matches I play. If I don't improve I'll definitely have to make adjustments to my game against the better players. One thing I worried about coming into these is that I would play too TAG because of my adjustments in these 22s and 33s. I feel this is not a problem after tonight, though something may be missing from my game.
